This is an outstanding opportunity for an Exec / Head Chef to join one of Sydney's most prestigious dining environments. We are looking for an experienced 'hands on' Exec Chef to take control of a strong 10-member team, running a fully appointed, modern kitchen.
You and your team will be responsible for supplying food to a 5-star dining space, an a la carte environment, various banquet functions or events, supplying food to VIP's in smaller settings, even supplying café style and room service catering.
If successful in securing this job, you will be responsible for managing all kitchen operations, menu design and setting the highest possible benchmark in quality food and presentation. It's expected that you will be highly proficient in preparing modern on trend cuisine; and be able to see the various menus evolve - as and when need be.
This is a very hands-on role. You will be doing a minimum of 35 hours a week, but if you want to earn the big bucks you will need to do the additional hours – evenings, weekend functions, even the occasional public holiday.
This position is for a seriously well credentialed chef - experienced in the operation of a hatted kitchen, plus extensive knowledge / experience supplying food to banqueting rooms / events / functions. Someone who is seeking to not only progress in their career, but make a name for themselves running this distinguished and eclectic dining environment.
