The Group/Venue:

This hotel is one of the classics in the Newcastle area, a favourite with locals; and now part of a much larger group. With a strong mixture of food, beverage and gaming under the one roof this venue is soon to be even better with renovations to take place in the near future.

The venue is seeking a passionate, outgoing and forward-thinking GM to help drive the business to continued success. With multiple offerings in the one venue and adapting to the wants of the local market, every day brings a new challenge and reward for the successful candidate.

The Role

You will have full operational control of the venue, ensuring that all your financials, budgets, staffing, licensing and general operational duties are on point. You will work closely with upper management in regards to all budgets, recruitment, strategy, cost control etc. You will treat this business as if it was your own and you will be the face of the venue.

Ideally you have experience in:

  • A similar role, and a successful track record to date
  • Achieving and outperforming forecasted results
  • Motivating a team & maintaining staff levels
  • Leading by example, providing exceptional service on a day to day basis
