 We are seeking a skilled wine professional to enhance our already impressive wine service. This restaurant is looking for a Sommelier to take full control of their 380 award winning wine list.

Replacing the incumbent who has been successful in achieving a 3 glass rating for this restaurant’s wines at the recent Fine wine - to quote Gourmet Traveller in part - this wine list almost has a rarefied air, if such a thing could be. It’s hew from classic wines of the world, deep in just about every notable region and traditional style of Australis, set alongside well-appointed Champagne, Burgundy and New Zealand offerings.

This rare opportunity requires someone with 2 - 4 years wine experience, part of which has been spent in a high volume a la carte restaurant.  Current accreditation, a desire to learn more and share knowledge with a savvy clientele, great personal appearance, and exceptional attention to detail are all mandatory. In this role the successful applicant will not just be selling & pouring during wine during service, but also greeting, seating customers and floating throughout the restaurant, occasionally assisting section waiters clear tables if need be.

In this position you will be the specialist leader in beverage service including responsibilities in training and development of other team members; procurement, assisting with stock control and ordering.
